Introduction
Find Me Football is a mobile app that helps players discover and join local football matches. We care about your privacy and only collect what we actually need to make the app work.
This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how it's handled. We keep things simple — no legal jargon.
Data We Collect
Phone Number
Used to create and verify your account via SMS one-time password (OTP). We don't share this with other users.
Name & Profile Photo
Displayed on your profile so other players can identify you in matches. Your photo is stored securely in Firebase Storage.
Area / Location
You manually select your area — we don't use GPS or track your precise location. This is used to show you nearby pitches and matches.
Camera Access
Only used when you choose to upload or change your profile photo. We don't access your camera at any other time.
Push Notification Token
Used to send you match reminders, voting alerts, and XP updates. You can turn these off anytime in your device settings.
App Usage & Crash Data
Collected automatically by Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to help us fix bugs and improve the app. This data is anonymised and not linked to your identity.
How We Use Your Data

- To find matches and pitches in your selected area
- To send you notifications about your games and results
- To calculate your XP, level, and match stats
- To fix crashes and improve app performance
We don't sell your data. We don't use it for advertising.
Third Party Services
The app uses the following services. Each has their own privacy policy.
Firebase (Google)
We use Firebase for authentication, database, file storage, push notifications, analytics, and crash reporting. All data is stored on Google's infrastructure.
Google Fonts
Used to load the app's font. Google may log font requests but does not collect any personal data through this.
Data Retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your profile, match history, and personal data are removed within 30 days.
Anonymised analytics data may be retained longer for aggregate reporting.
Your Rights
- Access the data we hold about you

- Request deletion of your account and data
- Opt out of push notifications at any time

Delete Your Account
To delete your account, open the app → Profile → Settings → Delete Account. This will permanently delete your account and all associated data including your match history, XP, and profile information.
If you're unable to access the app, you can also request account deletion by emailing privacy@findme-football.com.
